How do you rate a grave? Well it was an elegant and fitting stone, well tended, and failry easy to find (hint - it's not in the churchyard). A poignant memorial for a great Briton.

A great shame. The grave was shabby and appeared to be untended. Like many others we went there to pay our respects and would have thought the town would have kept it better as it is a main tourist attraction

After visiting The LakeLand Motor Museum, where the Bluebird exhibition is, here you can follow the history of Donald Campbell, his passion and energy for speed, following his tragic death, it is only appropriate to go and pay respect to a truly honourable man at...More

No point in not visiting this grave if you are in Coniston but can't help thinking it's rather commonplace for such an heroic figure. If Campbell could have chosen his own gravestone I think he would have probably gone for a big, plain clog of...More

We were rather saddened to see where Donald Campbell was buried. Lovely headstone but felt it would have been more appropriate for some ground to be consecrated near coniston lake rather than being overlooked by houses. Just a personal view..
