Traditional gingerbread, the smell in the tiny little shop was amazing, and the staff friendly and polite and dressed in period clothing. The gingerbread itself was amazing and have eaten it all too quickly, now have to wait till our next trip up there to get some more!!

Three golden oldies and a middle aged couple enjoyed lovely warming ginger drinks during a mid-walk warm on a frosty, winter day. Lots of tasty looking treats to take away.

The most delicious Gingerbread and so much more! I could have taken one of everything but I'd have had no money left...If you're close by you must try the Gingerbread!

So cute and delicious gingerbread which we picked up for our partners who had been unable to join us. I also had hot ginger wine 🍷 ( non- alcoholic); delicious and hit the spot on a beautiful, freezing cold ❄️⛄️day! Highly recommend and the gingerbread makes a perfect, small & yummy, traditional, Grasmere 🎁gift.

This gingerbread is amazing. We ate some on our walk from Grasmere to Ambleside and intended to stock up on our last day but it was closed until 12.30pm and we had to set of home 😐 can't wait to go back and definitely going to order online! Going to buy the lovely little gingerbread Christmas decorations too.

Reputation is renowned and a must when visiting Grasmere. A secret recipe and the gingerbread is so moorish.

What can I say. We have been buying gingerbread from this shop for so many years and it is always a treat. The shop is small and perfectly formed. The smell from outside is incredible. We also had some hot ginger wine and we would return for more. Well worth the 400 miles we drove to buy gingerbread.

Such a cute little shop. I felt as though I'd stepped back in time and the smell when you entered the shop was amazing! Of course the gingerbread was delicious.
