The Heaton Cooper Studio is more than just a gallery - it tells the history of the Heaton Cooper artistic dynasty in the Lakes. In one sense (part from the excellent new cafe) it is a timeless archive for the area. It does though make...More

The shop sells a wide range of art materials and books and there are the prints from the Heaton Cooper family of artists. Also, exhibitions of other artists. The cafe is excellent, with interesting food and a calm relaxed atmosphere at reasonable prices. Not very...More

The Heaton Coopers are certainly an artistic bunch. A lot of varying artwork from 3 generations so something for everyone. There is also an artist material shop and cafe.

Not everyone's idea of "high" art but a fascinating interpretation of the magnificent landscapes and colours seen through one artistic family's view. Inspiring for budding artists. Also a cafe (not visited) and a good art shop.

We visited in the late morning of Friday 13th October 2017 and just had drinks as the food did not appeal to us at all. The decor was very nice and the gallery great but we felt totally let down by the cafe produce. The...More
