We had a couple of drinks and a bite to eat here tonight and had to remind the staff twice (in the hour and a half we were there) that we'd ordered 'chunky fries'. When they did arrive, the portion size was tiny for the £3.60 they'd charged. Then they took the plate away before we'd finished. Very disappointing.

The Grainstore restaurant has launched a new menu, and it is totally amazing! The quality of the food, which has always been very good, has been raised to another level, both in terms of quality and presentation. It was totally amazing, and I can't wait to return. The Grainstore now truly offers a superb dining experience.

First time here to watch a show. Ate in the Grainstore first, ordered two pizzas and they came Out very quickly, afterwards went to Watch frankenstein, the theatre room is great all seats tiered down to the stage. The show itself was brilliant, interval half time with a bar. This is a great venue and I will definitely return when... More

Like being in another dimension where time has no meaning. No apology given either. You have been warned.

Never eaten here before, and was a bit concerned the food would not be up to live up to the recommendations I had been given... However Both the food and service were great. Pizza delicious and the hot brownie was yum. Will definitely visit here when next in Kendal. Although I doubt it will have the same buzz as it... More

Fabulous hub for this world famous festival. It had so many great spaces , and a massive theatre. Kendal is so lucky to have it. Great staff too.

Friend invited us to the Kendal Mountain Film Festival, what an excellent event, films (as in the name) activities, lectures, food, product stalls & social events. The Brewery Centre is the main hub, where the tented village is based, films are shown, social events take place - a really excellent example of how to make one venue a social hub... More

Attended number of events here during Kendal Mountain Film Festival.... It's central, it's stacks of rooms/areas....like a TARDIS.... Staff very helpful and efficient. Great meeting rooms +sound screen systems. Very impressed and look forward to a return visit.

If only it was all about the base. This would have been a great pizza the topping was fine but the base was excellent. Not sure if it was sour dough or just stone baked but it was great, crispy, tasty and not too thick. A deeper flavoured sauce and better cheese was needed however.
