Previously attended when the Mountain Film Festival is on, when this is the hub, where arrangements, the tented village, organisers and many events occur. Without all the festival palaver we can see this sizeable venue, able to simultaneously support a mix of activities and events...More

Enjoyed our visit to the Brewery Arts Centre Kendal. We dropped in to watch the England Belgium 3rd place play off in the world cup and were staggered to be the only people in there for most of the game. Shame on you other England...More

Not just a cinema, but an arts centre with displays, restaurants and good bars. We had good stylish food in the bar before a show. Great.

Recently went to watch a band here, arrived early and had booked a table, staff seemed unsure and slightly confusing re table, pizza was nice but rather tight on the toppings. Great venue but be prepared to get extremely hot in the malt store.

Excellent sell out concert but surely after all this time still nothing has been done about the inadequate staffing of the bars. The downstairs bar didn't open till after 6.30 and a massive queue built up. With just one person serving a lot of people...More

A recent change in management reflects in new menus in the Grain Store Restaurant. There is plenty going on elsewhere too. The cinema is excellent and there are a host of courses to take. The Brewery attracts some big names to its stage and punches...More

We have a car park at The Brewery, but get here early as it does fill up quickly. Otherwise Abbot Hall car park is just across the road.
