This was our second visit to this museum in 18 months. For such a small museum we were surprised to find new things/activities to entertain both ourselves and our children (both age 11). As well as the exhibits, what is fascinating is the history of...More

Went with 2 grandaughters at beginning of their school summer holiday and although the staff where very friendly and we did the quiz which filled the time, the atmosphere was dull. Too dark with too many stuffed animals. One hour is plenty of time to...More

Our visit to the Kendal Museum and Art Gallery was most enjoyable. We stumbled upon the museum, which was beautifully curated - hands-on and rich with artifacts. A real memory-maker. Then we accidentally stepped into the art gallery (the kids were not amused) and spent...More

This place is incredible! We only paid £2 a person. There was so much to see! My partner and I spent ages walking round the exhibits and had so much fun seeing the fossils and the stuffed animals. Well worth a visit!

Went here on a cold snowy day as a change of plan. Lots to see. Only £2 entry is a bargain. A massive collection of taxidermy, ever animal you could ever imagine. Exhibits from Roman times, Viking times and Egyptian times and lots more.

This fascinating local museum is a great place to take the kids or pop in with a group of adults for a visit and possibly a cuppa. The entry fee is really low and the museum seems to be really well run, making the most...More
