Staff are so helpful. A few of the volunteers took time to assist my disabled elderly mother and explain the history of the house to her while I went into the upstairs rooms that she couldn't get to. The house and gardens are so interesting and a great way to spend a few hours. Each room has laminated fact sheets... More

A visit to Levens Hall is well worth while. We especially liked seeing the original panelling which is still in place and the history of the house is very interesting. The gardens although not as big as those of other stately homes are nevertheless a must to visit just to see the amazing topiary which has been done to the... More

We had a lovely few hours at Levens Hall, we started with a tour of the house which was very interesting, then a snack in the café, followed by a walk round the amazing gardens filled with extraordinary topiary some of which was around 300 years old, we finished of the visit with tea and cake in the café, not... Very nice gardens with amazing topiary probably the best in the British Isles. Very interesting house steeped in History and still lived in. Lovely people answering lots of questions about house and gardens. A good cafe offering fresh food sensibly priced Even got a play area for the kids.

I recently made my annual visit to these wonderful gardens with stunning topiary. The gardens were completely flooded in the winter and the gardeners deserve our thanks for all the hard work they undertook to have them looking as good as ever.

A long awaited visit to Levens Hall gardens could have been marred by the weather but it wasn't at all! The topiary garden is fabulous and the thrills keep on coming as one wanders through lush areas of immaculately kept borders, pleached lime tunnels and a sweet scented and colourful rose garden. Our enjoyment began well with a delicious lunch... More

Beautiful gardens, exactly what I needed as a break away from my hectic life. So peaceful and full of wildlife and birds. Wandered around the house and met by a lovely lady who explained everything in lots of detail. Everyone was very friendly and the tea and cakes afterwards were just lovely!

Lucky for us, my wife and I can walk from our front door to Levens Hall in less than an hour. The walk itself is most pleasing, initially along a canal path, then over open fields with the Sedgwick cricket grounds in view and eventually through Levens Park. The path through the Park is bordered on both sides by giant... More

The topiary is the highlight of the wonderful gardens. The house is very interesting both historically and decoratively. Helpful and knowledgeable staff added to a very worthwhile visit. The restaurant was busy but the food was very good. The pasty special was very good value for money. Clean toilets and plenty of free parking.

Thank Steve B
