I would highly recommend Keswick Adventure Centre. I went on a hen do weekend at the Lake District. Saturday was Go ape on rocks/through waterfalls aka Via Ferrata (don't forget your water proofs) and Sunday was Ghyll scrambling. Both were loads of fun, testing and exhilarating. Our guides were friendly, funny and knowledable. They catered for our abilities and gave... More

We booked to do the Ghyll scrambling at short notice i.e the day before. They were very accommodating and took the 5 of us for the session (we were the only ones that morning which was nice for a family activity for 2 adults & 3 teenagers). They provided wetsuits (2 for some of the family who needed it), helmets,... More

Did half a days abseiling with Alastair with Keswick Adventure Centre with a friend. Alastair was great and gave us lot of local tips for our stay in Keswick as well as putting us at ease for our first time abseiling. Will definitely use again when I return to the Lakes.

We just did the via ferrata extreme trip. It was very rainy and quite cold, we were running late and left our rain gear sitting next to our beds back home. The Keswick staff was amazing! They ran with us to the store for over priced little rain gear packets (overpriced = tax on forgetful ppl that we were happy... More

Al is brilliant. Knowledgeable and confident and brilliant entertainer for my 3 daughters who found the whole experience exhilarating. Al was good with a serious tone for the areas that required concentration and reassuring for those that required a confidence boost. Been ghyll scrambling before however this company/Al have got the balance right. Great trip. Great host. Will be going... More

Decided to go and do some ghyll scrambling under the influence of some alcohol driven google searches, and it went quite well considering how pathetic and feeble I am with the cold- after all I am apparently a dirty Southerner! As my boyfriend is a Northern monkey it was quite obvious his choice of adventure was fit for him since... More

My boyfriend and I booked Ghyll Scrambling as something a little different to do on our first time in the Lakes. Our instructor was Al, who was warm, friendly and had lots of banter to put you at ease! It was a very enjoyable and fun afternoon of sliding, jumping and diving and definitely pushed me out of my comfort... More

What an exciting adventure! It started with a ride in the 'banter bus' to stoneycroft ghyll with Al at the wheel. Lots of riddles and jokes. Then followed a series of slides, dives and jumps. The highlight of our holiday.

Started the day off with the Ghyll Scrambling - This was great the instructors were very professional and clear instructions were given. Now I've tried it, I would love to give it on another go on a really wet day! The Via Ferrata was at Honister this was brilliant too, even been a climbing instructor I had a great time.... More
