Visited here today with hubby and 7 year old son. Hubby and I have been before but my son was literally in heaven with too many treats to choose from. Son opted for bag of sweets, hubby some kendal mint cake and I bought some chutney - yes I am massive cheese and cracker girl. They have some amazing flavours... More

This must be the best and probably the biggest sweet shop in the country! Chocolates, mint cake, fudges, toffees.....all available and irresistable. If that isn't enough, there's a whole section devoted to biscuits, jams, chutneys and the famous Cumberland rum butter. It's impossible to leave empty handed! Easy to find on the Main Street opposite to the Moot Hall and... More

A word of warning if you're a chocaholic and no will-power - expect to spend a fair bit of money! The various ranges of chocolates that look so mouth-wateringly tempting make it difficult to decide which one's to choose. At £3.99 for 100g it can give you an idea of a budget to set if you're watching the purse strings.... More

After a visit to Friars store in Keswick I found it quickly ruined and left feeling very uncomfortable having witnessed who I can only assume was some form of staff (an older female not in uniform) publicly and very rudely telling off another member of staff. I felt so sorry for the staff member who could only stand there and... More

We visit on a regular basis as its only an hour drive from where we live. It has a fantastic range of sweets and chocolate and has something for everyone. There's a lot of interesting gifts and a good selection of sweets. We spend around £30 per visit, the chocolate covered marizipan is a hit with my partner. Definately worth... More

Loads of interesting gifts, sweets and chocolates. Shop nicely set out, chocolate covered cinder toffee is a big hit ... we have had to go back and buy more after getting some at the start of the week's holiday.

Very good shop in the heart of Keswick. A superb selection of sweets, chocolates and all those things you shouldn't eat but love. Friendly staff and not over priced - visited June 2016 whilst on holiday in The Lake District
