Great walk to do on a wintery day in Lakeland. High enough to get some snow but not to be too difficult without full winter climbing gear (although still need decent gear and clothing and some slippery patches). Our 8 year old loved it particularly...More

Beautiful mountain, 45 minute walk from Keswick through woodland. Started snowing at the bottom, by the first summit we were in a blizzard...then the clouds cleared away to lovely sunshine. Fantastic views from the top

Not for families or bad weather! we found it tough and we're trail runners... We saw two frozen children up there, who wanted to go down asap.

Whist the walk to the top of Catbells is very rewarding don't mis the opportunity to come back along the edge of Derwent Water. It is a lovely walk and a real contrast to the challenge of Catbells.

One of the best things you can do in England. Perfect view with stunning surrounding. It’s a must visit once in a lifetime! Not for elderly tho. Perfect for a walk with a dog.

Medium walk stunning views. Not suitable for wheelchair. Some scrabbling up hills required. The views are amazing on a clear day. Beautiful.

Quick jaunt up catbells and round the horse shoe. Weather was superb for the time of year. Very lucky. ☀️

Not sure about the 3.5 year old to be honest. You will probably need to carry him or her for a lot of it. If you're ok with that, then go for it. I did a lot with my kids in Colorado many years ago. They were better on... More
