One to visit if you're in the area but don't go out of your way. Bit tricky to find - one of the Q&As has a postcode which helped a lot. It's a huge area with loads of stones, goodness knows how they got them...More

Can be viewed from the Lane or on a short level walk from your car. Big rocks (some other circles are tiny rockeries), and Long Meg has a great marry face, plus cup and ring markings. Worth a look!

What can I say?? Yes a stone circle but what a place for it to be.. how impressive it must of been.. I kept getting the feeling the stones where warm. We arrived at 9am on a November morning it was -2 outside.. the stones...More

Slightly hard to find, but worth ticking off in the iSpy of ancient monuments. Don'r expect any facilities

If in the area go and see if not don't plan to go as there is not much to see.dont take kids they will be bored.

Well worth a visit to this ancient site, a short walk from the road, take care in wet weather. Count the stones, legen says that you will not get the same number twice

Long Meg is probably the poor relation of Castlerigg near Keswick but it's on a much larger scale. Secluded location adds to the atmosphere.

I would highly recommend you visit this beautiful and mystical place you can feel a special energy there. Only myself and my husband were there so it was lovely and quite , we spent about an hour there and saw no other visitors. Highly recommended
