An ok place for light snacks and drinks. A long wait for service and food could have been a little hotter

This lovely modern cafe is located in Orton , along with a chocolate factory, pub , church and attractive green and is just delightful with beautiful food. Friends visited the gallery next door and enjoyed this . Check for opening hours as i believe they are closed at least one day a week

A lovely tearoom with yummy cakes. Three of us each had a large slice, we bought lemon drizzle, carrot cake and malteser chocolate sponge. Delicious food and a friendly welcome. For me the important bit was that they offer a choice of Dairy and Gluten free food and drinks AND sell dairy free cakes! A good place to have lunch and explore the area. The gallery had a wide choice of crafts to buy and encourage new skills!

Recently opened artists co-operative gallery with attached deli and cafe. Interesting collection of art and crafts in the gallery and a first class selection of food in the cafe. Wonderful gluten free bread for the sandwiches and very good value for money. Well worth a visit if you are in the Tebay, Shap or Orton vicinity off the M6.
