What can i say but if you a keen walker, then this is a must for you. with a beautiful waterfall and some lovely views its a really good place if you're in the area. If you're not a member of the national trust the car parking can be expensive. But make use and stay the day its lovely.

Great palce for a walk, whether you want to take a short or long walk. Paths arent too muddy on the wet, well laid out and the waterfalls are a great sight. Toilets and a cafe are available when you return. Plenty of parking and a great day out.

Car park is VERY expensive - take lots of change! This does however support the National Trust so can't complain too much! National Trust staff knowledgeable and friendly and happy to chat and offer advice. Route suitable for all our children - aged 14, 12 & 4, although I think our 4 year old would've been better in walking boots... More

Visited with my family and we were not disappointed. The paths are clearly marked around the waterfall and although some of the steps can be a little on the big side it is for the most part very easy to get around. Would not recommend for people who struggle with mobility though as it does require hill climbing and there... More

Stumbled upon this by accident really after wanting to go and see Ullswater lake (also well worth seeing) and we were so glad that we did. It was a beautiful walk and not all that long to get to from the car park, I really enjoyed seeing the waterfall and the sights along the way. Lots of excellent photo opportunities!... More

Well worth a visit as it's beautiful only downside was the car parking charges. Could do with just being able to do an hour rather than a minimum of two. Other than that lovely place to see in the Lake District.

With easy parking and the money going to the upkeep, it's a lovely walk up the path following the stream until you get to the lower falls. This is probably enough for younger children, but you can press on up the path to a higher series of small waterfalls. The views once above the trees are just lovely. Well worth... More

Me and my other half were struggling to find something to do with three kids. One teenager, one pre-teen and a six year old. Finally we settled onto this. Had never heard of this place, let alone been here. And it was gorgeous. The walk wasn't difficult, just right for all ages. The little loved all the little nooks and... More

It's a lovely walk up to the falls, we've done it in both the summer and now the winter and both are great. There's quite a few steps to get up to the top. The car park was slightly expensive in my opinion at £5, but overall with it.

Walked up to the waterfall and then the point above. Good weather today which helps as some of the views are lovely. Some tricky parts of the walk at this time of year, walking uphill up stones and wet earth with some steep sides , not for people with mobility problems. Small NT shop at the car park and toilets....
