Great little museum - nothing else like it :-)
Only thing that detracted from our visit was a very angry fan of boats who chastised the children in the museum for enjoying themselves when he was making a video - Ah well. There's always one....More
I visited this museum some years ago . We had an interesting day, including a trip on an old steam launch with tea freshly brewed on the boat's own boiler!
It is currently closed whilst they raise funds for a total redevelopment of the site...More
Visited this Museum on Heritage open day, as the Museum will not be open to the public until 2014. Shown round by enthusiac supporters, explaining all the exhibits. The refurbishments are costing £10M, so they need all your help.
We went ot check out the Steam boat museum to see if the repairs and renovations being done in 2008 have been completed.
