I was quite excited to return to Blackpool as I hadn't seen the finished promenade. Last time we came it was under construction. We will not be coming back. Learned that the dogs can't go onto the beach between the north and south piers between May and sept. Fair enough I understand why, so we walked a fair distance to... More

Have to be honest I have never been so disappointed with a beach promenade in all my life. I last came to Blackpool 17 years ago, and boy it really doesn't look like any money has been spent on this at all! Now don't get me wrong they appear to have built a very long wall type of thing and... More

I love the sea, so I'm always pretty happy when I'm near it regardless of where I am. The promenade area is quite nice and it was done out a SW years back but it still looks pretty rundown. It's okay for a daytrip but wouldn't do there on holiday

The prom has been completely renovated over the last few years and it's a great place to walk. There's loads of places to nip in just across the road or just enjoy the beach and sea view as you stroll. It can be a bit chilly so wrap up warm.

We have noticed a huge difference to Blackpool's Central Promenade compared to what it used to look like. I am talking especially about the section across the road from the Tower which runs along as far as the Central Pier. This is the area I would consider to be the Central promenade. This redeveloped seafront section now looks so clean,... More

We drove to Blackpool to see the lights on Sunday. I am not a big fan of Blackpool and would like to see it bull-dozed into the sea. It is tacky, scruffy and out-dated. The hotels are two stars lower than the rest of the country, However a quick drive through the lights would be harmless enough. Wrong! We started... More

The promenade looks lovely. It is clean and has nice modern buildings & sculptures on one side then all the attractions and arcades that blackpool is known for on the other.

I’d describe Central promenade as the promenade between the North and Central Pier. The sea front has been renovated in the last couple of years and is now very modern, tidy and very spacious on the seaward side. On the promenade opposite the Tower you will find the Comedy Carpet. There are a mixture of bars along the promenade, from... More
