We made our way to the cathedral and sat in the morning sun with a little time to spare. Although we have been to Leicester numerous times and even made it as far as the cathedral we had not previously been to the Guildhall. We are so glad we have now visited. This is a fascinating building having evolved into... More

Situated next to the renovated Leicester cathedral, the guild hall is one of the most important and intact medieval buildings in England. Included in the visit are the old cells and lock ups of Leicester and a chance to experience a more brutal mind of justice. The guilhall periodically stages classical and acoustic concerts in the main hall of the... More

Went to this attraction a LONG while ago but recently took our Grandchildren, enjoyable hour spent looking around. The cells still make you jump when the light is switched on. Keep it as it is and change nothing

By far one of the best buildings in Leicester adjacent to the cathedral. I never tire of looking around and imagining those who have visited, including our own monarch, again on Maundy Thursday 2017. Lots to look at and see, white rose cafe adjoining for refreshments. Worth checking for other events too such as recent comedy festival, plays and musical... More

Situated next to the catherdral, the Guildhall is an interesting place to visit. A great old building with interesting things to look at and smell along the way. Entry was free and so well worth popping in for a short visit.

Went and had a quick look today - it's free to get in and is a very old building with lots of history itself. Once inside you can have a good look around and it's all as it was back in the day. There are some historic artifacts that are in show and the walls in each room give you... More

If you choose to visit, ensure you wear appropriate footwear to cope with the cobbles and other uneven surfaces. You may avoid twisting ankles and getting sprains as we unfortunately did. Thankfully, we did wrap up in coats, scarves, hats and gloves as its a very, very cold place to visit. We were a group of adults, and the visit... More

It is with regret we learn of your unfortunate experience. The White Rose café is independently run from the Guildhall, and staffed by volunteers on occasion. We will liaise with the management team to share the concerns raised and improve overall customer service standards to ensure full inclusivity. Across the service we endeavour to ensure our front of house teams... More
