I will start off by saying I am not the type of person who shops at a market HOEEVER I will try anything once. I walk through the market sometimes as a short cut and on the off change I saw a stall which sold yarn. I knit and crochet as a hobby and tend to buy my yarn in... More

I was very impressed by the range of fresh products, fruit, vegetables, meat and fish. There was a good range which may reflect the cultural diversity of the city. I was particularly pleased to see how the fish and meats were presented without the supermarket plastic packaging.

I'm not really a fan of markets, but will review it anyway as we did visit. It has everything a market needs and has it's regular quirky characters. Worth exploring the nearby streets as the area is quite interesting and a nice aside from the usual chain stores.

We've sampled some beautiful fresh fish, fruit/veg and cheese (not meat eaters but even the meat always looks good). Everything nicely displayed. Friendly service. Reasonable prices. We're now regulars who avoid over-priced and over-packaged supermarkets.

Great little market this with lots of smaller independent retailers on the edges. Good for bits n pieces and a snack.

The place to go if you like visiting open market places. This is quite exceptional since it caters to the large Asian population in Leicester. Great deals on fruit and vegetables as well as Asian products such as incense and Indian accessories. It's busy and loud.. and a lot of fun!

How wonderful it was to find a lovely lively market, full of great deals, unlike my home Town, which has NO market to speak of. Well worth a visit.

Not been here for many years I still find I can spend a hour here. The fruit and veg sellers you can have a bit of banter with, some sell tomatoes pears and all manner of other fruit in stainless steel bowls at a £1..... each. The clothing stores are good bought a hat off a stall chatted with the... More
