Easy to spend a few hours here, the house is a magnificent Elizabethan mansion with wonderful rooms, furniture and art, set in gardens which have a number of walking routes. Leaflet available giving details. There is also a lovely farm shop, bike shop, coffee shop and restaurant! Well worth a visit

The only unfortunate thing about our visit was that the hall and gardens were shut. However, the cafe is wonderful: the food is fresh and appetising and very reasonably priced. Make sure you leave room for one of the cakes - as good to eat as they are to look at!

As if the hall and gardens were not spectacular enough, the food hall and cafe were brilliant too. From the ladies taking our entrance money to the girls clearing the tables the staff were exceptional. The weather was awful...rain. sleet. cold windy but there were such pretty sights id did not spoil our day. The weather did clear enough for... More

An interesting experience with good value food as lunch later. This was preceded by a gentle stroll around the grounds.

Doddington Hall is well worth a visit - it is a very interesting house, and very beautiful too, with really stunning gardens. The Farm shop is a regular with us, as most of the veg is locally-sourced. The locally-baked bread from Welbourn bakeries, as well as fish products from Chapmans of Grimsby are really good. It's always a pleasure to... More

Doddington Hall remains a family home that is open to the public. You can obtain a verbal aid guide for walking around the hall. When you have seen all that you want to see in the Hall you can then take a pleasant walk around the gardens. In doing this, it may give you an appetite and on the grounds... More

Great farm shop with many specialist items. I am lucky to live close by so I'm able to visit on a regular basis. They always carry seasonal fruit & vegetables that are grown on the estate or locally.

Love this place. Fabulous food to buy and amazingly fresh meat and produce. Lovely cafe and surrounding area. Their meats are the finest around. Lovely cafe serving fine food and great coffee and tea. Go enjoy.

The house and gardens are not always open so a look at the website is essential planning. The gardens are well worth a visit, especially for special events there - and the kitchen garden is a living wonder. Again, restricted access, so check. The shops, cafes and walks from here are worth a stop anytime. Not cheap, but good quality.
