Have known about this place for a long time, but have never been. Really pleased we have done now though. Went for a wonderful walk around the reserve, one of several we could have chosen. Well frequented with lots of bird watchers and other families walking young children as we were. The weather helped too! Sunny and warm. Went to... More

Took our granchildren aged 5 and 7 and we all loved it. Bought kids binoculars each and they loved sitting in the hides watching the wildlife. Great walks and fantastic outside adventure area.

Some nature reserves prevent families with dogs from entering due to the breeding programmes etc. However , Whisby Natural world centre provides different walk routes and advises which are suitable for walking your dog and which ones can be enjoyed on the lead and off lead. The walks go round the reserve where there are hides and bird watching opportunities... More

A lovely peaceful place for a walk. Great scenery with lots of wildlife. The cafe serves basic refreshments (tea, coffee, cold drinks, sandwiches, cake, ice cream etc) and overlooks a lovely lake. A small amount of children's play equipment, enough to keep little ones occupied whilst you drink your coffee. Toilets very clean.

Meet a friend here for lunch and was very impressed with how efficient the service was. We all ordered hot food, which was delivered to the table about 10 minutes later. Portions were excellent and everything was really tasty. The view over the lake was lovely and afterwards we took a walk out there. It was all very well, looked after... More

I've recently become a regular visitor. There are great walks both long and short, plenty of bird life to view. The paths are flat and ok for wheelchair users and also push chair friendly . It gets busy at weekends, but is reasonably quiet during the week and after your walk you can get a coffee etc in the restaurant.... More

Whisby is a favourite of ours as a family and a couple. The walks are well signposted and of varying lengths so are suitable for all the family. The play areas for children are excellent as they cater for all ages. The shop is well stocked and the cafe offers a good choice of food and drinks
