A good way to walk off breakfast. Lots of quirky shops before you reach the castle & cathedral. Don't bother with the odd bookshop / coffee shop half way up though. The coffee is awful!

We naturally went up steep hill to get to the cathedral and castle. Nice cobble stones with some interesting shops on the way. Good places for some photos looking up and down on historical Lincoln.

This is a highlight in the city of Lincoln , an old street full of charm and nice little shops . The effort is considerable and if you walk with a stick and / or have poor fitness , then maybe not for you ....More

Lovely old part of Lincoln, some beautiful old buildings to view enjoyed the climb up too. Good access to the Cathedral and castle.

Of course we walked steep hill, a must do in Lincoln. Try to fast as possible and our favor doing it a couple of times.

Steep Hill earns its name without doubt! We came down from our Cathedral visit and I think I would have struggled going up but many, many people were fit enough and passed us on our way down. There are an array of small interesting shops...More
