If you're at the Cathedral, walk around and see the statue. Especially if you're a literature buff. Not much else to say about it. It's just a statue in the churchyard. provides a nice backdrop if you're wanting to lounge on the grass.

A lovely statue, set in the Cathedral grounds. Well worth a visit if your in Lincoln. Highly recommended.

While walking around the cathedral we found Tenyson's statue. It is just a statue but the location on top of the hill adjacent to the cathedral is quite impressive.

We've been taking evening walks of the bailgate for years, always pass by Alfred, looking at his flowers. A few years ago a flower actually took root in his hand during the summer, I am sure it would have tickled him to know this.

Nice area of the city with green lawns, benches and a huge statue of Tennyson just outside the cathedral. In some ways best seen at night and when we went it was quite misty so very atmospheric. Other than that ... its a statue !!

Set in the grounds of the cathedral stands this very large bronze statue of Lord Tennyson. There is a seat to sit on and rest and admire the statue which gives a good viewpoint.

The statue itself I would guess is about 7-8 feet tall and is sitting on a 6 foot concrete block
