Completed in 1978 this is the largest Anglican cathedral in Europe. Inside, the lack of adornments only adds to vastness of the "great space." A combination of elevator and stairs takes visitors to the exterior heights of the tower and some grand views of the city and landscapes below. A small fee is required for the vista experience.

Used the hop on hop off tour bus to see the sites in the city. Walked around the Anglican Cathedral and was in awe of a fantastic building. I'm not religious but would highly recommend a visit to the cathedral if you are in Liverpool sight seeing.

Lovely traditionally built cathedral, lots of things to see. Go on a search for the carved church mouse on one of the tombstones, there to represent the poor.

Light night in Liverpool and because a lovely sunny evening decided to go up the tower of the cathedral to see the views from there. Amazing views on such a clear day. Could see as far as the Welsh hills and the lovely houses of the Georgian quarter in the city. Highly recommend. Of course the inside of the cathedral... More

The Cathedral is massive. It is as beautiful from the inside as it is from the outside. You can see it from really far away, it won't be difficult to find! A must see in Liverpool!

The inside of the cathedral is vast and imposing. Have a good look around and combine with the Catholic cathedral just along the road.

One of the biggest Anglican Cathedrals in Europe, this is a commanding and impressive place. Want some peace and quiet to reflect? You got it. Want outstanding architecture and space? Yep. Highly recommend the Tower experience. On a good day the views are amazing - you can see all the way to Anfield and beyond! Really good value for money... More

There are about 30 steps so be prepared for that however the views over the city are amazing and well... More
