Really interestuing place to visit. It has been refurbished a couple of years ago and the money was well spent.

Whilst the Library facilties are fine and there are plenty of staff, the Library is not being used as it should be. Every time you visit, there are lots of homeless people near the toilets, irresponsible parents who let their kids run wild and rows of people using the computers to go on facebook, instagram etc. They should have some... Whilst visiting the Walker Art Gallery spotted the library building next door which looked a similar style of Victorian architecture and a bit gloomy and went in.... WOW!!! And WOW again. What a fantastic place to visit, the library has everything you need under one roof. They even have fantastic entertainment for children at half term, very good.

From the riddle on the pavement as you approach the front door, to the modern, airy and imaginative atrium, to the lovely children's reading room, to the formal reading room, it is an inviting and fun place.

This building is absolutely no-joke gorgeous. The sheer number of books all around you will fill you with joy.
