Running from Hanover Street down to St Luke's Church ( Bombed Out Church ) is Bold Street ,one of the most vibrant streets in Liverpool.
Home to lots of bars, restaurants, cafés and fast food establishments and some interesting looking retail outlets ,we walked down this street heading to some real ale pubs ,the street looked cool ,very busy ,a very vibrant street indeed.
If you're in the area or planning a holiday to Liverpool it's a street I highly recommend you check out.

We visited Bold Street last October half term, for the umpteenth time, have been visiting this lively vibant part of Liverpool for a few years now after discovering it a few years ago. So many shops, boutiques, eateries, here, and a great feeling of something special. Love Liverpool generally, but this is not to be missed, as my teenager will definitely agree with. We especially love the t shirt boutique shops, and the chippy near the 'Burnt out' church at the top, and lovely Anglican Cathedral, with its arty stain glass windows, The chippy which has a great vibe of its own is not to be missed and is open till late, lovely fish and chips.

We came here early one saturday evening on our way to dinner. Very vibrant, load and noisy with plenty of bars and restaurants. Great place to feel safe, as there are no cars! Would go back to explore more!

Amazing vintage and Indie stores, including Soho's, Bull Vintage and Cow Vintage. Bought some fab Soho's Y2K baggies, and a really inexpensive vintage leather. Lunch at Egg cafe nearby. Great day out!

Great ..... the whole street is now cordoned off to traffic and is fully pedestrianised. Most of the world eateries have built outside eating spaces and loads of tables and chairs ..... so at least we can enjoy the summer and autumn weather. Well done to Liverpool City Council for this fab initiative.

Another pleasant old fashioned neighborhood, perfectly safe for strolling and a good place to find something to eat or drink. Also some good shopping. Nice old Merseyside atmosphere.

Bold Street is Ok. It is full of small restaurants and shops. It looks like it was a busy street once and now is being dwarfed out by the other parts of Liverpool

How is it that with the giant strides made by our wonderful scientists with the vaccines and the tireless efforts of our health workers that most every news item paints a doomsday scenario ,I work in the NHS, have done for 30 years and I can see first hand the beginning of the end of this pandemic but the media only pick up the negatives which they exploit ruthlessly while glossing over the positives, in my opinion I think that's why peoples mindset thinks this pandemic visited upon us is going to disrupt life for ever ,its not and the media should be ashamed of themselves, walking down Bold Street before the 3rd national lockdown descended was both good and sad at the same time ,pubs and restaurants doing their best to keep the economy going by going above and beyond in the fight against this virus following the Draconian government guidelines ,Bold Street like most every retail and hospitality street in the UK has been badly effected, quite a few pubs, restaurants and shops closed and the street eerily quiet but life moves on ,the vaccines will kick in and life will return to normality, hope and patience are powerful allies and I personally have both these attributes in abundance and strongly believe that by April this street and the world in general will bounce back to life.
A wonderful street, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area after restrictions are lifted.

This was once Liverpool's answer to Bond Street, with classy stores like Waring & Gillow, posh restaurants, expensive clothes shops and the like. Most are now long gone and the atmosphere is altogether more bohemian. Here, today, you will find vintage clothing and jewellery, a rich, cafe culture, gift shops, upmarket boutiques and much more. Be sure to visit St Luke's church at the top end. The outer walls are all that remain after the building was blitzed in WWII and what,'s left stands as a fitting and dramatic memorial to the terrible losses suffered by this proud, northern city. "Utility" is possibly the most interesting, specialising in expensive, continental, designer furniture and goods.
