My son and I went on several tours with Ian, both day and night. He was a fantastic teacher. Knew exactly where to take us and how to get the best shots. My son takes excellent photos on manual settings now. If we go back to London, we will definitely look him up again. I would love for my husband... More

Waste of my holiday time waiting twice for this person to show to our booked and paid appointment. Not once, but twice he was a no show! He has promised to refund my money, but what about the time I spend waiting for him with the few ours of sunlight in London right now. First excuse he overslept, second he... More

We decided on this tour after seeing lots of good reviews. When we arrived at tbe meeting place and found our guide, he was very drunk. He kept disappearing during the tour to smoke and drink more energy drinks. We let the tour continue but our guide kept falling into people on the route as he couldn't walk in a... More

I had recently purchased my first DSLR and was eager to put it to use. I ended up doing both a day and night tour with Ian and he was absolutely fantastic. He was very patient in helping me get off automatic so that I could start shooting everything in manual. In addition to providing advice about the technical aspects... More

Night time photo walk with Ian was an unbelievable way to experience London. Walking past so many iconic spots that a South African has only ever seen on TV, and taking photos of these landmarks in a creative way made for an unforgettable night. Ian gave many tips and tricks to really capture the city for photos that look truly... More

Ian is a great pro of photography and a true Londonian, he taught me many techniques to shoot photos by night and walked me around the best places in London for a night photo tour. He took the time to explain many interesting details about photography as well as the history of the places. By far the best tour ever!... More

My nighttime photo tour with Ian on my first night in London was a perfect introduction to the city! Ian was an excellent guide and photography instructor. He gave me excellent tips to improve composition and lighting as well as guidance in different settings for different night exposure effects. As a native Londoner, Ian's knowledge of history and politics of... More

Ian’s photography walking tour and workshop is truly eye-opening for both the point-and-shoot novice and the experienced amateur photographer. My wife has been taking pictures for many years, but wasn't much interested in the fundamentals. I was schooled in the fundamentals, but despite graduating to ever better and more costly SLRs, I had grown lazy over the years and had... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
