You will never forget the theatrical event that is Disney's THE LION KING. Brilliantly re-imagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor, Disney's beloved film has been transformed into a spectacular stage production that explodes with glorious colours, stunning effects and enchanting music. At its heart is the powerful and moving story of Simba - the epic adventure of his journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands. 'There is simply nothing else like it.' I do not understand why everyone loves this show so much. We went on Saturday having looked forward to it for ages. It was visually spectacular and the puppets were very good, but that was where it ended for my husband and me. We both commented on feeling under-whelmed afterwards. The only downside about this show was that i felt the staff did a poor job of controlling the audience- people were noisy, on the phones, recording etc and little was done... More

Fantastic show, definitely worth the ticket prices, very professional. Loved how they used the sinking and rotating stage floor all the time, very impressive and professional. Only problem was with the air-con. The show lasts exactly 2.5 hours, so sat in there for that long without any kind of air-con is ridiculous. Once we were in there and it started... More

And the young children were very talented. The stage setting was really simple and effective too! I would highly recommend seeing this... More
