Buckingham Palace serves as both the office and London residence of Her Majesty The Queen. It is one of the few working royal palaces remaining in the world today. During a visit to Buckingham Palace, visitors can see the nineteen magnificent State Rooms, which provide the setting for ceremonial occasions and official entertaining. All rooms are furnished with many of the greatest treasures from the Royal Collection. A visit also includes entry to the special exhibition, A Royal Welcome.

Restricted dates mean there's always going to be a lot of people so it's not always easy to get close to exhibits (Royal Gifts currently on show) but lots of the good stuff is above head height. Well worth the price of admittance.

First visited 21 years ago as a backpacker and returned as a father of three. This time we came at twilight with less crowds and beautiful light. It was fantastic. Walk through the parks and changing light over sculptures and building were magic. Kids loved...More

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a
grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to
start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster
Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
