A good trip. Wish we'd had longer there so we could have seen more of the feed times/talks. My kids 14/11 really enjoyed the day so that more than makes up for any shortcomings... read more

We visited the aquarium as part of a birthday trip into London. We booked online and walked straight into the aquarium with no queues. There was one school party of about 7 year old children and a few young families as well as a couple of young couples and that was it! The exhibits were clean and generally well lit... More

Thankfully myself and daughter had a voucher 2 for the price of one. If we had paid £51 for this experience we would have felt thoroughly robbed. We enjoyed our 90 minutes there and was hoping to buy a fridge magnet, however they only had tacky ones available for £3.99 - needless to say I left without buying one.

Very good aquarium, we spent 5 hours there and enjoyed every minuite! The Gentoo penguins are a definite highlight and their enclosure is very good. There is so much to see and you can see the turtle and shark tanks from differnet levels. Almost all the tanks are free from algae so there is nice clear views of the animals.... More

Not much to say about this- it was disappointing from start to finish. Luckily we had the 241 ticket voucher which softened the blow but I would have been annoyed if I had paid full ticket price for this. The place is in need of a makeover and a lot of the tanks were disappointing. I do really enjoy sea... More

A good trip. Wish we'd had longer there so we could have seen more of the feed times/talks. My kids 14/11 really enjoyed the day so that more than makes up for any shortcomings. Timed tickets seemed like a good idea but offers less flexibility and we didn't know that when we booked to go to the dungeons just along... More

Visited early on a Sunday morning so there were no queues. There were so many types of fish, sharks, turtles, jellyfish etc and really cute penguins. We also got to touch a starfish. Only took an hour to walk round, which was probably because it was so quiet. Would recommend to get your tickets with your tesco clubcard vouchers.

Without wanting to spoil anything, I really enjoyed the sealife centre from the minute I walked through the door! Lots of different types of sea creatures and many things to read and interact with on the way. Little disappointed that there was nowhere to get some food inside. But that's more a personal thing coz I like my food. Lol.... More

£25 gets you in (no concessions), took just over an hour to see everything. Best bit was watching penguins being fed. Very very busy with small kids running around everywhere. If I visited again would go midweek.

The tour took about 1 hour to walk through, but we were expecting a more intense experience. Mostly aquariums on both sides containing an assortment of fish & crayfish from around the globe, partly focused on Britain. Had much higher expectations in regards to the cost per ticket. Ok entertainment on a rainy day

The London Aquarium is a great day out, whether you visit it with friends, family, or even on your own. There is loads to see and do! It's a great place to visit on a rainy day, but keep in mind that it can get very packed during school holidays, and at weekends. I would advise possibly buying your tickets... More

Staying in Southbank

Neighbourhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
