Be aware that this museum has several sites and that the displays on offer are at different locations. We wandered around looking for the Crossrail exhibits to be told they are at the Docklands site. This museum shows the history of London in tableaux of...More

We only spent an hour here and wish we had more time. This museum will take you thru all the different ages of London. Very informative and kept the kids attention.

I only had about 30 min to visit this museum. I went straight to the Roman exhibit (pointed there by a very helpful staff member when I came in) and found it informative and well done. 'can't wait to go back again!

The museum's collection and displays are extensive. They do a nice job of balancing incredible ancient artifacts with more modern approaches to education, including short films about several topics (the plague, the great fire) and interactive computer activities. We arrived mid-afternoon, having already had a...More

We had this on our list of things to do if we had time. Way down on our list. It would have been a mistake to miss this wonderful historic museum. London has a non royal history all of its own. The artifacts and collections...More

Hi, we recommend at least 2 hours for your visit. We are less than a 5 minute walk from St Paul's, so it makes perfect sense to fit in both attractions on your itinerary for the day!
