We had been on the backstage tour before and it was great so we came back and brought some friends. This time is was really disappointing though. The whole tour lasted an hour and during that we saw very little of the opera house. We saw the auditorium which was great but apparently wasn't a scheduled stop and we weren't... More

This was a first visit to the ROH for us and it did not disappoint. We were on a coach trip to the afternoon performance (included ticket price £16.50) were a real bargain. This took the sting off the rather expensive sandwiches we had for lunch. The music was superb; the dancing was awesome and the combination was a wonderful,... More

Fabulous Tuesday evening attending the spectacular Nutcracker ballet at the London Royal Opera House. Heavenly Tchaikovsky music and orchestra, beautiful dancing and costumes. It was like stepping into history !

Beautiful building, fabulous service in the amphitheatre restaurant. Sensational performance of the Nutcracker, stunning costumes, sets and of course wonderful music. We were swept up in the sheer Beaty of it all. Thank you royal ballet .

Had the chance of tickets to see The Nutcracker, one of those things I've always wanted to do and finally got round to doing. The building is beautiful, this old theatre is filled with nostalgia. The amphitheater and terrace views over Covent Garden are gorgeous. The Royal Ballet put on an amazing performance, it was absolutely superb. The first half... More

Wow, beautiful theatre, gorgeous pre cocktail in the amphitheater, terrace views over Covent Garden. The ballet performed by the Royal Ballet was superb. Beautiful dances, stunning scenery and fantastic orchestra. Tick off my bucket list. Worth every penny for an amazing experience.

We attended on 27th December and were so let down. Performance was a mess, dancers out of time with music, place overpacked. Orchestra was great though. I am not sure how many understudies were on that night but it was too uncoordinated. The seats are minuscule and I am a size 4, can't imagine a larger man. Not sure it... More

Hoffmann's Tales was the performance. Dining in the balcony restaurant made the event more elegant and romantic. I would always prefer to go to the RoH with a pre-scheduled dining at the balcony. It makes the night more Royal. Try it, you'll like it. The cuisine is worth tasting.
