How great to finally see the famous Paddington Station, we stayed in a Hotel close to the Station so we could have quick access to get to the Airport by train. You read about the old Stations in books, but seeing them in the flesh...More

After a couple of days we got used to our travels centred around this station. It is busy, noisy and if you seek it, the staff are helpful.

Did a lot of walking through the capital this week but needed to take the tube just once and bumped into this guy on my way out. Nice and quiet when I was there but in the peak - different story I imagine!

Easy access to numerous underground train lines as well as a direct link to Heathrow airport. Line markings on the ground guide you around the station and there are great shops and cafes to buy from while waiting for your train.

Brunel's terminus for the Great Western Railway is imposing, awash with light, with the sound of activity everywhere on the vast concourse. Trains bound for the West, to towns in Devon and Cornwall bring back holiday memories, a few hours away by express train. Tip-if...More

Paddington Bear statue is in the station, he is not Winnie the Pooh, he is the lost bear from Peru in the Michael Bond books and the recent films, parts of which were filmed in the station. There is also a statue of Isambard... More
