I would recommend a trip to this store while visiting London. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a neat experience overall.

I needed a straw sun hat for my unfeasibly large head and was so pampered and pleased by the most helpful lady that I am still smiling from the lovely experience! We were offered a visit to the hat museum which was actually the hi-light of our day! Definitely worth a visit.

I ordered a size 57 Vienna Fedora online and when the hat arrived I realized it was too late. I immediately returned it and applied for an exchange with a size 56. The hat was on sale so I asked customer service to save a size 56 for me (which at that time was available) while the 57 was travelling... More

Dear Claudio Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am sorry to hear about your online order experience. Unfortunately, the sale has proved very popular and as the website transacts 24 hours a day globally hats are always selling. Due to this some hats sold out very quickly. I apologise for any disappointment that you may... More

A beautiful hat shop going back for decades . All hand made . Go have a look and a warm welcome from the owners . If you ask about the price you probably can't afford it!

Every time I visit London I also visit Lock & Co Hatters. Never dissatisfied when I leave, only looking forward to my next visit. The minute you walk through the door to this charming store, it feels like you walk back in time. The staff is amazing. Super professional, kind, smiling, polite, and always helpful.

I visited Lock & co to enquire about stitching repairs to my vintage homburg. I browsed around the shop also. The homburg was accepted for repair, on the basis that they would telephone me with the price so that the bill could be settled by card, the hat would then be returned to me by dhl couriers. I can confirm... More

If you are interested in the highest quality hats, Lock & Co. should be on you "must visit" list for London. Established in 1676, the firm has provided hats for a discerning and historic clientele. Visitors will find traditional and less common hats, to include tweed hats and caps, deerstalkers, polo caps, Panama hats, fedoras, homburgs, and even a fez.... More

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
