Get to Columbia Road early on a Sunday morning to avoid some of the crowds. Squeeze your way through the narrow street with market sellers on either side. Behind the stalls are cute shops, especially Nelly Duff where we have bought 4 or 5 prints and taken them home to frame. There are plenty of places to get breakfast or... More

In 1988 I moved to UK and quickly found my way around the markets, sales and carboots in the Eastend. I first visited Columbia road in early 90's and every month for ten years. Just started back again and certainly has changed. What has changed ? It was a working market when the flower market ( then Covent Garden now... More

By far too crowded, could not get near any flower stalls, Plants and flowers were were also expensive and not competitive. A few nice individual shops but expensive. A few food stalls, and Pubs. Only for people who don't mind crowds.

CFM has a large selection of fresh cut flowers and some potted plants I saw lemon trees palms and healthy looking herbs. I was surprise to see only one vendor who sold dried lavender. It was overly crowded some cut flowers looked like whole sellers rejects. If your looking to have your cut flowers for a week then this is... More

Visited the flower market on Sunday April 9th. There were so many people that it was hard to walk forward - or back! We saw many beautiful flowers and eager salesmen. We're traveling from Finland so couldn't buy anything but enjoyed the very summery weather.

Was there alone on an early morning around 8 odd morning during March. Stall owners were preparing and setting up stalls. Upon reaching I was greeted with fresh flowers scent and very refreshing! Decided to get a breakfast at one of the cafe and walked up and down the flower street with many locals getting flowers. Got myself a few... More

Gorgeous flowers and plants and amazing smells all around the market, however it is very crowded so come early. There are also some cafes and shops there which are nice to visit. For a good breakfast in the area go to Cafe Columbia, they serve awesome bagels.

Not only for the flowers- also worth a visit for the atmosphere & nice local cafes & casual pubs. The opening hours are quite limited so make sure to time your visit accordingly
