We had the please of touring London in a black cab with Mike. We had limited time in London and wanted to 'see it all'. Mike was very helpful in getting us a broad overview of London while giving us time to get out and see the sites close up!. What a great way to see Londontown. Highly recommend this... More

London travelers! This is a must do activity. First thing upon arrival at your hotel book the next available tour and learn about London from an experienced local. We contacted Black Taxi Tours in the early morning and were very pleasantly surprised at their quick response and ability to accommodate a tour for us at the time we desired, that... More

We designed our own tour based on our love of London, English history and literature. Jeff accommodated us perfectly by turning us over to David. He is knowledgeable, friendly, fun, intuitive and engaging. What he knows is amazing and he can find his way any where. We have visited London a couple of times, and did all the touristy things... I emailed the company in advance to set up a future tour date. They responded immediately and said to let them know exactly how many, what time, and where we would like to go when we had all of our details finalized. I ended up calling them from the hotel when we arrived in London to set something up, and... More

The Black Taxi Tour was a part of my birthday celebration. I had arranged two Taxis starting from our Hotel for a 2 hours tour ending at the London Eye. Mark ( who speaks German ) and Michael were 2 excellent guides who had shown and declared my friends some tourist icons but as well special shops. All my friends... More

We had a tour from this company in 2012 when we had a five hour layover at Heathrow and David picked us up from terminal three, gave us the three hour tour of the city and then dropped us back to terminal three for our flight out. We asked for David again and this time he took us through the... More

Fantastic experience well worth booking and the best way to see all the main sites. Frequent stops to take photos and the knowledge of our driver Steve was such that we saw things missed by most tourists. My children aged 9,13,14 classed this as their holiday highlight, and I agree. Would recommend highly.

We booked a tour with Black Taxi for our family of 4 after reading many great reviews. We decided to start our tour upon our arrival in London from Paris. He picked us up at the train station with all our luggage in tow and went on a 3 hour tour of London. Andrew was very knowledgeable about history and... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
