It's a once in a lifetime experience to get so close to a painted ceiling. The staff and volunteers are amazing, friendly and funny.

Beautiful gardens with wonderfully breath-taking views of the Thames and the College from the hillside in the rear. As you walk through this campus, you can almost hear the echos of naval officers of the past, along with the faded voices of Greenwich Palace, and...More

The ceiling at the Painted Hall is currently being restored, so you have the chance to get up close by climbing the scaffolding. Unfortunately, our guide did not tell us we could use mirrors to see the painting, we only found this out when we...More

By the time I got there it was closed but I walked around the grounds. It is right on the Thames, so go for a walk (East or West) along the river. Many others had. Not far from there (East), I was treated to a...More

11GBP - a steal! Informative and passionate guide, mirrors so you didn’t have to crick your neck to see the ceiling, a lift if the 67 steps too hard - fascinating to see the non- conserved paintings in contrast to those cleaned and preserved (not...More

Really interesting - about what the bits of the ceiling represented to the artist, little snippets about it, and the characters within it, and also bits about the conservation of it and how they're doing it. Highly individual and very different. Highly recommended!

Our tour took us here and we were glad we did stop. Lovely area and town. I wanted to go back if we had the time.

architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole
of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park
and a number of related buildings (and one world
famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World

You cannot park in the college grounds. There is an expensive car park at the other end of the college. It would be much better to park at the hotel. Besides it's lovely to walk to it as there's so much to see around there... More
