Most of this iconic building was built in the mid-19th century following a devastating fire in 1834. Westminster Hall survived the fire and dates from 1097. Visitors can book tours through the House of Commons and the House of Lords, and are welcome to watch debates and committees when the Houses are sitting..

Underweared Big Ben is hideous. The building is brown. There's really nothing to see here right now.

Although I don’t completely agree with some of the decisions currently being made here, the buildings and tour were amazing. Very informative and interesting

A must-see stop during our trip to London. There is a lot of building work going on but was worth seeing anyway.

We booked online for the 90 minute guided tour. It was an absolutely fascinating tour. Our guide, Isabel, was very knowledgeable and engaging. I've visited London many times, but have never gone inside the Houses of Parliament before. It really is an extraordinary experience. I...More

The ticket price includes an audio guide & this adds a lot of value, otherwise it will be difficult to understand the historical significance of the palace & how the parliament works. There are guide tours as well but these need to be booked in...More

Outstanding site in the center of London. We took the self-paced audio tour (which must be purchased and booked in advance) rather than the guided tour, which younger members of the party had found rather long and heavy. ANy visitor to London simply must visit...More

We visited without prior booking and found no problem gaining entry after a wait of 15 minutes. Both houses were in recess so we were able to see so much more and using the audio guide able to glean much information about the various rooms,...More

This is a mixed review. On the one hand, Westminster Palace-- which has limited access-- was incredible. One of the few buildings with original pre-bomb construction, seeing the original oak carved roof was incredible. As well, Queen Victoria's palace- with the coronation rooms and halls...More

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a
grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to
start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster
Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
