Half the menu was not available, even basic bread! The advertised wine was unavailable too and all this on the busiest day of the week, a Friday. How did they manage that evening? Overpriced and when we eventually received our meals they were tepid. I...More

Waiter barely spoke English. Table was unprepared when we arrived. Staff came back FOUR TIMES to say they'd run out of whatever we'd ordered (including BREAD, MILK AND WHITE WINE!) Food was really poor and lukewarm. Avoid like the plague!

Was in town on business but wanted to check out some pubs. Sat upstairs in quieter room with a bar. Staff was fantastic, very friendly and the food and drinks were great. Definitely recommended!

The place could be nice but the managers are really disgraceful, disrespectful and and not caring about their customers. However the barmaids are truly sympathetic.

Really nice place with a really unpleasant welcome though. The manager and supervisor were rude and unwelcoming I was insulted. A shame they lost a 18 person business... Clients aren’t dog rememeber it ...

Great location downtown near Trafalgar. The theme of the pub is carried throughout the pub. Service was good. The food was inexpensive for the location but small portions especially with meat pies. The local Sherlock Holmes beer was just okay. If you are into Sherlock...More

It is 18, but it is not illegal to have a beer, wine or cider from 16 if you are having a meal with adults at a private house or licensed premises.

I doubt it. When I visited everyone was having sit down meals only. Try fishworks if you want excellent takeaway fish and chips. £10 and not that far away.
