View the Parliament buildings. Walk the bridge and view the Thames. So much history and you will love it.

Again, no trip is complete to London without seeing Big Ben up close and personal. Amazing. From Canada, our Parliament Buildings in Ottawa look similar as they used these buildings and clock as the model. While Big Ben is under reconstruction for the next four...More

Saw it from the Thames and had obviously seen it in innumerable American and British movies and television series - and the reality is much better. It is a massive structure. Worth seeing.

This is the area just by Big Ben and Parliament. As Big Ben is covered with scaffolding, the full luster of the area is a little off now. There are always a ton of people nearby and well worth the effort to check out the...More

This whole area has the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen. I loved it so much more than New York City which seems so loud and smelly compared to here. Much less traffic, IMMACULATELY CLEAN, no graffiti- simply pristine for block after block. Would love...More

We stopped at Westminster while touring London and marveled at the vastness and architectural details of this great structure. We could just imagine what goes on inside those walls and how Parliament conducts business.

It's London!! and at the Christmas holidays. It felt like we were in a snow globe because it all was decorated with lights so beautifully! I cannot wait to go back. The underground was crowded but SO easy to use and get around on.

I was on a tight budget during my travels, I attended the evening choral service at the Abbey as it is free. So I got to hear the delightful choir and see the inside of the Abbey.

Just a tip in case you haven't heard: the Queen Elizabeth Tower is surrounded by scaffolding. Big Ben is no longer chiming. Repairs are slated to be underway until 2021. It's pretty disappointing, but you can see the clock from the bridge side.

I have of course been to Westminster multiple times, went last in October, Big Ben is a pleasant site, I just about saw it before it was completely under the scaffolding! You can take such pleasant views of the rest of the river from Westminster...More

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a
grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to
start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster
Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
