I was interested in the review by Goaindiavisit. The City of Quebec is a pub I once regularly frequented. Since June last year,I now only go there very occasionally, due to being subjected to extremely loud levels of 'music' from the sound system. It was often quite painful, and an ordeal to converse. I observed patrons requesting a reduction in... More

We used to be regulars in the Quebec but moved away from London. On a recent visit I couldn't believe my eyes and ears. The recent refurb is pleasant enough but I've heard from regulars that the brewery is trying to change the pub from a very successful bustling gay pub to a straight pub and encouraging younger straights to... Service poor, food service of the counter with a toaster oven . I must say how a place like this can exist in the middle of London. If the location wasn't so good it would struggle to survive. We had to pass on the food as it was going to be at least 20 mins for a toasted sandwich!

Went here for a few drinks later on. Got served the wrong drinks with a smile and drank them anyway. Nightclub downstairs and not very rough.

Found this place whilst escaping winter wonderland and found it to be relaxed and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and prompt with their service

There's no shame in working in a pub. I'm sure thousands of people do it or have done it professionally and enjoyed it and taken a great pride in it. However, the two guys working behind the bar on the afternoon of Saturday 10th November 2016 should know that it's more than a fashion show and people coming in to... More

A pub close to Marble Arch. I walked passed it several times when in London recently. It did not look very busy. Decided to go in once for a beer. Waited for a long time to be served by a not so friendly bartender. Did not go back.

Visited 4/12/16. Very ignorant waitress who was inconvenienced by taking our order of drinks. No manners from any of the staff who served us. Sole reason for creating this review: The pub didn't have any milk to make our hot drinks and dealt with our order with contempt. Supplying us with the milk after our drinks were cold and then... This pub happened to be in the next street from my hotel (The Cumberland) and decided to grab a last beer of the night in here. Was only later that I discovered that it was a gay bar, as nothing gave that indication at all (plenty of couple in for a drink) and from the outside looked like any other... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
