Went to see the comedy about the bank robbery in November with a group of friends what a funny show. The tickets were reasonably priced £39 for a Sunday matinee and we were seated in the stalls which is not bad considering I only booked about a month prior to going. I had read positive reviews about the play but... More

This beautiful Grade II listed building is in the very heart of Piccadilly. It has been staging live performances for nearly 150 years and retains much of it's original architecture and charm. This is a very small theatre seating only 588 which makes it very personal and allows you to be close to the act. We visited last Saturday 3rd... More

Great seating and really quite spacious compared to some theatres. We went to see Comedy about a Bank Robbery which was fantastic, so funny, never stopped laughing the whole way through.

The actors were good, I'm not criticising them at all but the script really wasn't that funny. If you like 'Mrs browns boys' type humour you'd find this funny. I absolutely hated it and thought it was a waste of 60 quid. Much funnier shows out there - Book of Mormon is a thousand times funnier than this. There was... More

My partner is not fond of theatres, plays, comedy shows or musicals, but I forced her to come to this one!. I was pleased when she said she loved!! So thank you to the actors and writers of "The Comedy About a Bank Robbery"!!! I have seen 39 Steps which was also at the Criterion, which was also brilliant. We... More

We saw The Comedy About A Bank Robbery - fantastic farce. The play was brilliantly acted and laugh out loud funny. Definitely recommend it as one to see if you're in London. The only reason I haven't given the theatre 5 stars is that the stalls don't slope very much, so if you end up sat behind a tall person... More

Absolutely amazing! The actors and actresses are absolutely brilliant. It's funny and witty and had us in stitches at parts. The theatre is fairly small but there did seem to be certain seats that you'd struggle to see from due to being pillars. Don't be conned by buying tickets from secondary sellers, go on the criterions website, we got 2... More

We took the whole family, 17 to 75 and everyone enjoyed the farcical physical comedy of this play performed by a very talented cast. Well worth seeing.

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
