The Savoy Theatre is currently home to Gypsy which stars Imelda Staunton, Lara Pulver and Peter Davison. Don't miss Gypsy, one of the greatest ever Broadway musicals, as it transfers to the West End following its sell-out, rapturously acclaimed five-star run at Chichester Festival Theatre. Imelda Staunton delivers a 'knock-out performance' (The Independent) as Momma Rose in Jonathan Kent's 'dazzling revival' (Mail on Sunday), alongside Lara Pulver, who reprises her 'stunning' (The Independent) role as Louise. They'll be joined by Peter Davison as Herb, in this gloriously entertaining musical fable that features 'showstopping' (Mail on Sunday) choreography from Stephen Mear. Based on the true life memoirs of legendary burlesque entertainer, Gypsy Rose Lee, it tells the tale of Momma Rose and her two daughters, Baby June and Louise, trekking across America in their family vaudeville act. But times are changing, audiences are expecting more, and the two girls have their own ambitions in mind. The rise of burlesque is upon them, and nothing will ever be the same again for Momma Rose. With lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by Arthur Laurents and music by Jule Styne, this moving and 'scintillating' (The Times) production of Gypsy is the first to be seen in London for 40 years.

A fab little theatre in a wonderful location, on one of the warmest days of the year the only thing i would say let it down was the poor air conditioning

The Savoy is an experience in itself, to get to the stalls you keep going down narrow winding staircases passing small bar areas which hold about 6 people, but the old fashioned grandeur is still present. Was impressed that they serve drinks and snacks to...More

You have to see this - it's not a show, it's an experience. You leave feeling absolutely drained - but in a good way. On the night we went, I held my breath. I hoped and prayed that Amber Riley would be 'Effie'. One after...More

We came to London to see this musical and we were impressed by the performance. Beautiful voices, especially Effie who was something impossible to describe. Go and see it, you will. It be deceived!

Since seeing the film a few years ago, I've always wanted to go and see the theatre production, and I was not disappointed. I believe the story was originally loosely based on Diana Ross and the Supremes ( I said loosely) with a black girl...More

3 spontaneous well deserved standing ovations during the show. That's how good it is. Let's begin with the cast. It is extremely good with no weak points. But the following three members deserve special attention. Adam Bernard as James thunder early reminded me of James...More

Just left the Savoy at seeing this evening's performance. Obviously there is no denying the talent of a lot of these singers but the boring storyline, lack of character build, repeat special effects and horrible songs left me waiting for the interval and end. The...More

Although I was wanting to see this show (big fan of Amber Riley's voice) it wasn't exactly planned. I had planned taking my Mum to see Phil Collins, but after flying into London early morning and reaching the hotel, it was announced that the concert...More

Hi, As others have indicated in their posts, there are a lot of restaurants in the area for a pre-theatre meal. What we found to be very a great idea was eating at the Savoy Grill. The restaurant harkened you back to a... More

We were In row b in the grand circle. It's rather high and fairly far away, our view was mainly ok but some of us found the very front of the stage restricted especially if someone is sitting in front of you. I would think... More

Stalls A - Hi all, I have found stall tickets for row A (there's rows AA and BB before A). Would these be restricted views/too close to the stage? It's either that or row P stalls or row H Dress circle. Which do you recommend? Thanks in advance!
