Having shopped here for all those important ottolenghi ingredients and having often gazed jealously at the happy diners whilst hurtling past on my way to deepest south east London I finally made it here. And it was not just a great experience but a very happy one. Accompanied by two vegans who normally approach restaurant visits with me nervously I... More

We remembered Persepolis as a crazy shop where you could buy everything from food to table clothes, now it is also a restaurant! We went, 3 generations, for family sunday lunch and had the 'party menu' which was superb. We let the owner choose what we ate, which made sense and was a great success. Metza to start was great,... When I used to hear about Peckham, I used to just imagine a load of bog standard chicken shops. One day a good friend said "Mate! Have you heard about this amazing vegan restaurant that's just opened?". I thought that perhaps, this guy fell off the bus and hit his head on the pavement. Then I started reading the reviews,... Persepolis is a real gem. I went with friends recently and had a brilliant evening. The place is intimate, friendly, and pretty eccentric - but in the best way. Sally's Iranian cooking is second to none and extremely reasonable, and you can take your own wine. The eggs and dates are my favourite and the deserts are spectacular. Love it!

Delicious and affordable Persian vegetarian food in Peckham. The owners are very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about food and Persian culture and always happy to answer questions. Persepolis is more of an experience than a restaurant - the scent, the music, the funny product descriptions - a fest for the senses and well worth a trip to Peckham! I highly... More

there were no fancy tables or chairs there weren't any table clothes but there was an experience of food that I have never tasted before. I'm not vegetarian so when I ordered I went by a recommendation and it was delight to my pallet. The smells were exotic and when my food came up I wasn't dissappointed every mouthful had... More

Went as part of a large group. Got some kind of group feast upon recommendation from the waitress! They brought one sharing platter, five main dishes and a dessert platter! Was amazing-so much food! And really cheap. The BYOB policy is also a plus! Would definitely go again. The halloumi is so good!

We (young Dutch couple) were looking for a place to eat near our hotel, and came across this little gem. The kitchen had actually already closed, but Sally (the owner) arranged that we could have something to eat nonetheless. She recommended to do a three course menu, including a mezze plate as a starter, two different main dishes and a... More

Charmingly bonkers café-cum-deli. The pictures don't do it justice as they will never capture the genuine and sincere vibe of this place, nor will they capture the fact that "specials" board is about 10 times longer than the regular menu. Value is fantastic, although I might prefer slightly larger plates for a £ more.. but probably my fault for not... More
