I attended a free historical tour of Brixton windmill, having found out about it online and pre-booking for the tour. It's a short bus ride from Brixton tube and stands in a garden in a quiet side side. The windmill is over 200 years old...More

Turn the corner and there it is! In the middle of Brixton, an estate and a stone throw from an iconic live music venue, The Windmill, famous for its dogs on roof. A fully renovated, living, working windmill, grown by the Friends of Windmill Garden....More

The place is small, like a little park, but is organised and lovely. I spent my morning there in a sunny day and I loved. There don't have to much to see, but is a different place in Brixton.

This is something I didn't expect to come across in London. Although this was a good tour, staff were slightly arrogant.

Amsterdam is not the only place with windmills. They locals and very proud to talk about the historic value of the the windmill. If you're lucky, you might get to see it in use!

About 15 walk from Brixton LUL, or there are buses running up Brixton hill (about 3 stops). I booked online for the 2pm free tour of the windmill. Then I decided I would also do the local guided walking tour at 1pm, which cost £5....More
