We had travelled by coach and went in as independent visitors. The experience was greatly improved by the attention we received from Michael Mellor. He is a London guide employed there. What an amazing man! How funny and informative can one person be? He had us both in fits of laughter followed by our open mouth attention as he told stories of London! He followed us round, guided us to see certain sights and even accompanied us to the shop at the end of our visit. Bless him - he was our guardian angel ( well it was high up so maybe he could fly???) Just the sort of person we find particularly entertaining and full of knowledge. We are still raving about our visit. We are two ladies in our retirement years. What a great time - he is an asset to the SHARD.

We went as a family of four, plus Grandma, on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn’t very busy so there was no queue at all, and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. At the top it’s very spacious but on the very top floor there are no seats at all (and you’ll be pounced on if you try and sit on the floor) but after a while a lovely security guard approached and asked if Grandma would like a chair, which really helped a lot. We were able to move it around to get in all the views and she was able to keep it as long as she needed it, we were very grateful. Views obviously great, there was a guide explaining things to people but he was always surrounded so we didn’t get a chance to talk to him. The cheapest alcoholic bubbly is champagne at £75 a bottle which is crazy for a toast so we went with soft drinks and beer which is much more reasonable. We were there for over an hour and then enjoyed the gift shop, they have some nice themed gifts although more things could be Shard shaped! The photo package is very expensive at £25 for (in our case) 2 poses but with 3 different backgrounds, but it’s a nice souvenir. I always think there should be an option to just buy the photo digitally, as it was they had them printed and in the book ready to persuade us. Overall a nice trip out, for all ages.

Had the most amazing time, 1st time we have visited. Went to floor 72, then floor 69 for wine at 15.30pm. Met Michael Mellor, he was the London expert. What a great man, laughed and laughed at his stories they were just fabulous and we were thoughly entertained......infact we never left until it was dark! Singer was fabulous as well. I have to say though, when you are 69 floors up why have blinds on the toiket windows 🤣🤣🤣 Great experience, great staff

My wife has always wanted to go to the top of The Shard, and have a glass of champagne, so whilst in London we decided to book the tickets. We were pleasantly surprised, when we arrived, to go straight to the lifts as there wasn't a queue. The 360 views from the top were amazing, and as it was a lovely clear sunny day we were able to see for miles. The staff were very welcoming, and helpful, and the food was reasonably priced. Would recommend a visit here when in London.

Live music, tasty finger sandwiches, delicious desserts, and a fantastic view. Special thank you to Freddy for the excellent service. My first time in London. I would definitely recommend the Shard for afternoon tea!

It was a suprise for my 6 year old who has been learning about London at school. He was absolutely enthralled with the whole experience. We spent 1.5 hours up there with Jasper happily moving from the viewing gallery up to the platform and back. Howard was an excellent host who took the time to explain history and geography to Jasper with what he was seeing. Totally worth the money in my opinion. My cocktail was also amazing! Thank you.

Fantastic date night experience. Being a Londoner for a few years now I'd been up a few times in the day during peak season. This time was different. No queues and crowds on a Friday night made us feel like it was our own special thing. We rode up and down in the elevators alone and enjoyed the live singer and extra special attention from the team working there. The views were spectacular as always but actually even better at night somehow. The cocktails were really great too. Special mention to Linda, Jhudel and Daisy for taking care of us.

What a view, and Michael the London Expert guide told some amazing stories and really enriched our experience - thanks Michael! Well worth the visit. We were mesmerised for almost 2 hours including a good bar and cafe at reasonable prices. The Champagne was nice too! The top floor is open air and so cool.

Fantastic afternoon trip with teenage son, well worth it! Much better than the London eye… Easy to access, bought tickets online that morning. Gracious stewards helping inside, so clean and modern. Incredible views and loos with those views!!!

Really great experience, and needs to be experienced if you can! You start with going into the building, the staff check your tickets and go through a security check/ bag check. Then, you can have your photo taken if you want. Next, you go up the lift, to the 33 floor. You have to then go up another lift to get to the 72nd floor. You can’t see anything in the lifts as it’s all blocked out, so if your afraid of heights, you can’t see anything until your actually up there. When your up there, there are drinks, snacks, bars, there’s even a restaurant area. You can go up to the ‘top floor’ where the roof is opened up, so you can feel a breeze. When your finished looking around, just go back down again. Overall, very worthwhile and enjoyed by all. 🏙️
