Neighbourhood: Shoreditch
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighbourhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbour can result in fascinating outcomes.

Never again.
I went there with other five friends, just because a pub where we supposed to eat was full.
I ordered the vegan Lighting Jack —if you want fries they are not included, as well as the dip.
After 30ish minutes we had our dishes (there were like four guys arrived earlier than us and had the dishes later!): my bun tastes 0 but the texture was nice; unfortunately the burger was the worst I've ever eaten since it was absolutely tasteless (I normally don't use spicy nor much salt/oil, so I don't mind simple tastes) —it was just spicy and that's it— with a mayo that tasted like old fish (not kidding) and a cheese that was tasteless and with a weird chewy texture.
Unfortunately I didn't like the sweet french fries neither, since I found theem too soft and like soaked —just fyi: they're not salty, so you have to add it.
My stomach is still upset btw. My wallet too since for this awful I spent ÂŁ14. Which is a bad, because the waitress was SO kind, affable and so so fun!
Good thing: after paid she gave us free fortune cookies —tasted very bad too— and it is such a wonderful idea! We were very surprised and happy.

Been many times for Wings Wednesday, this time it was a howler. We were served fridge cold wings, mixed in with warm ones (quite odd). The waiter handled the compliant with complete incompetence/attitude when we questioned if the wings are being cooked fresh given half of them were stone cold. When we asked for refills he brought up the fact we had 3 refills (3 plates with 5 wings on them between 7 fellas, half were cold) and it took 30 mins to get a refill by which time the notion of more wings had left, perhaps a tactic. Also asked to chat to the manager who couldn't be found, couldn't write it. Beer is decent, that is about it.
Hope the service and food improve but wouldn't hold out hope as have heard from several people now about how it has gone down hill in recent months in the Shoreditch branch. Would no longer recommend.

Stopped for Sunday lunch here. I had the most revolting chicken burger I have ever tasted in my life; it was drenched in sauce, soggy and almost inedible. We waited about 40 minutes for our food and the burgers were not served with fries, we had to purchase those separately. The beer was pricey too. I would never ever eat, or drink here again.

Last night at the Shoredich’s BrewDog.
It has been one of the most ridiculous experiences of my life. First of all here some words for BrewDog company, it is best for all of us if you just stick to brewery and leave hospitality to others, said that, I’ll explain why: you enter a sterile environment where waiters are just shadows hanging around who don’t really care about you (not even help to find a table) more about your money, al least that’s what happened last night to me.
Their prices do not match with the overall experience.

Decent watering hole that’s clean and spacious. Usual Brewdog drinks on the menu with table app service available. Didn’t eat there as the prices are a bit steep to be honest, especially as it’s already £6-7 a pint.

We sat outside in the sunshine and enjoyed a beer. It has a nice atmosphere inside and the bar staff were welcoming. Lots of beers on tap. I would like to go back in the evening when there would be a little more atmosphere, I am sure.

Great, wide choice, clean, friendly staff.
Very wide selection of cans (sizes and range) as well as some on draft.
Cocktails and spirits too.
I didn't eat the food, but it looked perfectly ok for those that did.
(manageress?) was very friendly and helpful, and Happy too.
Nice to try new BrewDog Varieties.

Popped in for a swift pint. Never been to a Brewdog bar before - the metal décor was akin to being in the Industrial Zone of the Crystal Maze. We quaffed our beers, enjoyed some banter and moved to the next zone of Shoreditch.

Visited this bar in the evening to see some live music and whilst the music was fantastic and the beer was perfectly pleasant the evening was completely ruined by what i can only describe as a psychotically rude member of the bar staff. Shockingly i believe he may have even been working on a managerial level. He completely flipped out when i friend of mine took a straw for her beer (the straws were provided on the bar to be taken) he verbally abused her saying she was like a child and then grabbed the straws out of her drink, spilling some of it in the process. I then went to retrieve a straw for her as i could hardly believe what i had just heard, however after the same barman had seen me get a straw i then was not allowed to buy drinks from the downstairs area and had to buy them upstairs. I never received an explanation as to why using straws was such a big deal. The bar tender was tall, had a a fairly large beard and worked downstairs if anyone from brewdog is reading this. He absolutely ruined our evening and lost a lot of business, he is easily the most inexplicably odious person working in the services industry i have ever come across. i strongly recommend avoiding this bar as i now will do.

Hi Luke,
There were several factors that led to your group being asked to leave the venue- including extreme intoxication, bringing in your own drinks and verbally abusing the staff- your friend grabbing handfuls of straws and throwing them into her friend's drinks only played a small part in this.
If you would like to make a formal complaint about a staff member you are more than welcome to do so- please email me on shoreditchbar@brewdog.com and I will be happy to talk to you further about this.

In the late 70s the microbrewery scene consisted of Bruce's Firkin pubs pubs when you finished the night with pint of Dogbolter and staggered home. The range of beers here is very good it was part of an organised night out. The 16% plus stouts good for a winters night. There was a time in London when they drank port by the pint. You would not want a lot of this but the malt flavours were good. This was reminiscent of the old London "spit and sawdust" pubs basic with good beer.
