The arch is impressive but the location with 2 lanes of busy traffic passing through makes it difficult to fully enjoy. It does offer a nice view down to Buckingham palace but as another review has said the traffic barriers are also a bit of...More

Admiralty Arch is an impressive "Arch" that is at the start of The Mall (Trafalgar Square end) and then links through to Buckingham Palace. It architecturally very impressive & is worth stopping to look at it rather than just walking through. From what I understand...More

What can you expect of a Building which straddles the main thoroughfare to Buckingham Palace, and is on the edge of the site of Nelson's Column? Something Grand of course. Admiralty Arch is certainly Grand. However it is easy to forget it and just walk...More

Commissioned by Edward VII to commemorate the reign of Queen Victoria this building from 1912 is so impressive. It leads from The Mall, the other end of The Mall being Buckingham Palace, through to Trafalgar square and surprisingly is still a main thoroughfare for traffic.

Effectively between Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace, you'll pass through Admiralty Arch when entering the Mall to walk down towards Buckingham Palace. Certainly an impressive bit of architecture - nothing to rival it in Australia (where I come from)! Don't miss it. On second thoughts,...More

If you're walking to Buckingham Palace, you need to walk through the Admiralty Arch and down the Mall. People delight in walking through this arch. A beautl landmark.

Worth walking or driving by for a quick look and a photo. Lot of other great architecture (eg Trafalgar Square) in the area to complement it. Also worth walking through St James park to the palace from here.

Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which
