I regularly visit this Cinema simply because its stylish and classy, the bar staff are professional and I love cashmere wrap - just in case you get chilly. Another reason to visit this cinema is for the interior and exterior so retro. Connoisseur's will love it, plus you have a choice of different types of seating. The lovers Bed! I... More

One of the oldest cinemas in London with much of its Edwardian decor preserved. The seating and the screen have been nicely modernized. The screen is especially impressive as it is contained in the old proscenium opening until right before the movie starts, at which point it moves forward and expands to a full-size modern screen. Food and drink is... More

The Electric is probably well-known to many out there as one of the pioneers of a new genre of (high) luxury cinematic venues. Whether paying super-premium prices to watch the same movie one can see in the comfort of one's own home is a winner is, frankly, open to question. As a town centre small corporate event venue though it... More

Having phoned the box office within 30 mins of Logan tickets going on sale I booked a back row settee for my wife's 40th birthday surprise weekend away. The guy took my name, card details and gave me a reference number to provide the box office when I arrived. Having arrived in plenty of time I was told they didn't... More

What a place! Perfect for a date night. We booked the front row beds and they were so comfortable! A different night out, and not ridiculously overpriced. Can't wait to go back.

We went to see Beauty and the Beast this evening. We have been coming to the Electric for many years, and it is of course gorgeous, with a wonderful atmosphere and such helpful staff who sorted out the food for us. However, there is definitely a mice problem! My son was sitting on front row bed A12, and a mouse... More

We came here on Sunday for the 2pm showing at Portobello Electric Cinema. Prior to the film we had lunch in Nottinghill as opposed to The Diner (restaurant next door owned by EC) and we were so glad we did as the food looked super greasy, 'fast foody' and it was extremely expensive too! (After the movie we went back... More

Sat in a very comfortable armchair with foot rest which contains a cashmere blanket to use during the film. Food & drink available. Beautiful cinema and I just wish Soho House would open one in Manchester!!

Booked as a surprise, this was such a fantastic experience. We were in the armchairs but you could have had beds or sofas. When you entered the room, it just had a lovely, cosy feel and it was nice to just do something a little bit different and 'special'. Would highly recommend.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
