Took my sister here whilst she was here on vacation. Great views of London. Purchased tickets online and printed them off in the ticket office opposite the eye. We arrived fairly early in the morning expecting to have a long wait in the queue but suprisingly the queue was short so we got on the eye fairly quickly. I would... More

We visited the london eye with my visitors from Japan. They were amazed at how clear the view was. My hot spot to take visitors from overseas to London Eye.

We got there early and got a fast-track ticket. After collecting tickets we went straight through. Amazing views and a great way to orientate yourself.

This is AWESOME but if you make a reservation you walk past a huge line. You can see most of the city 360 degrees as the bubbles are made of glass.

Im scared of heights. I got it in and was instantly mesmerised. I took photos of every possible view. London just opens up before your eyes. I could have stayed watching for ages. The turn of the wheel is so slight you don't even notice you are moving. Staff are fabulous, souvenirs aren't cheap but are worth it.

Beautiful, nice to take pictures and selfies... a great attraction in London ! But, the cues to ride .. are not worth it. It´s almost motionless ! Half an hour in each stop... Great for lovers... but not for the busy person or tourist..

The London eye is a great way to see London and all its landmarks, excellent for any photographer. The views from the top are breathtaking especially on a clear day! It's a bit expensive, but so worth it. You see London as if on your hand. Loved the experience. London didn't become my friend as I expected, but I hope we will build our friendship step by step...

Staying in Southbank

Neighbourhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
