A truly unique pub in the heart of Islington. As the only pub in the British Isles to bear the name, The Island Queen really is one of a kind. Tucked away on Islington's quiet backstreets, "the Queen" is a quaint oasis of comfy sofas, high ceilings and intriguing original features reminiscent of a classic London gin palace. Our deceptively bijou bar serves a gargantuan range of speciality drinks, while our colonial-inspired interior - embellished by etched glass and hand-painted mirrors - makes for a uniquely cosy backdrop in which to savour them.

Relaxed pub in leafy Angel street, lots of indoor plants, high ceilings, good food and board games. Trendy place just off the high street, with a traditional London 'island' bar.

Interesting but perhaps a little overdecorated this pub has a very good selection of beers. It is situated in a back street and will not immediately be seen if you are walking along the canal. There is limited seating and so many drink outside. The...More

Popped in for lunch with friends and had a great time. Great recommendations for food by staff and they were helpful with drinks recommendations too. Beautiful old pub, just the sort I love and not too busy when we ordered. Great afternoon! Thank you

I love the decor of the Island Queen. It is spacious and yet feels cosy and homely. I haven't been on a weekend, but weeknights I have found it fairly quiet. The food is good, if somewhat expensive. The choice of drinks is very good....More
