We've walked passed The Lamb so often but never ventured in. We've been missing out. It's a classic English pub and with a great atmosphere. Clearly very popular, the pub was full even at 5pm. Food was lovely. I had the "Nasty burger" (a burger that includes chilli con carne). My wife had the Hunters Chicken. Both very enjoyable. We're... More

Had lunch here mid week. Something of a rarity as it is still seems to have a lot of it's original fittings intact if you want a traditional British pub experience, and no music playing so if you want somewhere quiet. The staff are welcoming and friendly. We both had the burger with a side of onion rings both very... More

Lovely wood, glass and original pub, plenty of seats, lots of corners to be cosy in. Great range of beers. Good radiators so it was nice and warm. Newspapers available for a quiet read. Wish our local was as good as this one. Happy helpful staff.

A friend and I spent a day here. Food and beers all very good. Great atmosphere with many locals using the pub as a meeting venue. Wonderful. Will definately return.

Tranquil ancient London pub which we had pretty much to ourselves on the early September Saturday we visited. No canned music - thank you! Greatly enjoyed our toad in the hole and toasted cheese sandwich, draught Peroni and cider. Fantastically efficient and friendly service from Michael. Highly recommended.

My wife and I popped into the Lamb for dinner, based on a recommendation from the owner of a flat were were renting nearby. The downstairs pub had no empty tables, so we went upstairs to the dining room, which was totally empty. But we were welcomed by Vicky, the bar-tender and waitress for upstairs, and allowed to choose whichever... More

It's not outstanding beerwise with all the draught beer being a choice of five mostly Young's of which I went for the Special..I have visited before and find it is quite a friendly relaxed pub and the decor is quite interesting with its etched glass windows and panels along with its collection of old photos of actresses from Victorian times... Went here on recommendation from a bartender at another pub. Good selection of ales, but the place looked like it hadn't been cleaned all week. Didn't try the food, as we were put off by the seeming lack of hygiene. Nice enough place for a couple of pints though.

MarcLager thank you for your positive feedback re my ale selection & quality all comments are very much apprecaited. I can assure that the pub is cleaned daily, & also that during the session we take care to ensure that all areas are as clean as possible. After visiting The Lamb recently I sent a complaint to directly via their website. I have had no reply whatsoever... my complaint suffices perfectly as a review, only add that the wines were warm and the bar staff were unfamiliar with what they sold. "Hi The Lamb, during a recent visit to The Lamb I couldn't help but feel revulsion... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
