For some tears this venue has hosted the London( previously Lufthansa) Festival of Baroque Music. There is always at least one really really outstanding performance, and tonight's might have been the one : a concert interpretation by i Fagiolini of Monteverdi's Orfeo. The sound made...More

A ten-minute walk from the Westminster tube station, this former church is an excellent venue for classical music. We visited on Good Friday and heard a wonderful concert by Alamire, a choral ensemble that performed sacred music from the Tudor era. The acoustics in the...More

This concert hall - derived from a large old church - is in the classical shoe-box shape and has great accoustics. Amazing really when you consider that it was fire-bombed during the War and totally gutted. Fantastic piece of restoration. Comfortable seats. Good restaurant with...More

In my opinion this is one of the best venues in London for classical music, offering also a nice bar and restaurant in the crypt. It's a similar concept to St Martin in the Fields in Trafalgar square, with a former church converted into a...More

If you are a regular of the South Bank and the Barbican, you should add this place to your list of regular concerts (as well as the Wigmore and the Cadogan Hall). More intimate than all of the above and with very high quality music....More

I have been to a few classical music concerts here, and it is a nice venue though a little difficult to get to (since not many people live near the Houses of parliament!), so involves a taxi or a walk from Westminster station. Its size...More

This amazing concert hall has an interesting history: This church, completed in 1728, was badly damaged by an incendiary bomb in 1941, and left a ruin, open to the sky, for 20 years. It was restored in the early 1960’s and, with acoustics suitable for...More

Excellent concert venue. A nice size making it quite intimate. I very much enjoyed the music and the Purcell seemed very apt for such a building.

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a
grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to
start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster
Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
